About This Program

Valley Guardians Youth Scholarship & Empowerment Initiative builds future leaders in the Valley by breaking the cycle of poverty. Together, we support scholars from middle school through college. Yearly, Challenge in Phoenix adds a class of six scholars, and today is proud to support 48 scholars in grades 5-12 each year. The Challenge Foundation continues to support our scholars throughout their collegiate careers at universities across the country.

The Positive Impact On Our Community

The Challenge Foundation in Phoenix was started in 2013 with six scholars entering middle school at All Saints’ Episcopal Day School. Each year, Challenge in Phoenix adds a class of six scholars, and today is proud to support 48 scholars in grades 5-12 each year.

All of our scholars in Phoenix attend All Saints’ Episcopal Day School for their middle school years. Our scholars go on to attend Brophy College Preparatory, Phoenix Country Day School, Xavier College Preparatory or Valley Lutheran High School for their high school years.

The Challenge Foundation continues to support our scholars throughout their collegiate careers at universities across the country.
